Published In the new May edition of Fast Ford magazine an unbiase Shoot out shows the performance of the Pumaspeed tuning packages A customer, who had tried other non Pumaspeed tuning options asked if we could fit one of our std 182 Packages to his car so he could go up against the might of the NEW Mountune tuned FORD Motor Company backed ST 185 and the newly developed WOLF/CODE RED 185 at a Magazine Shoot Out.
We duly obliged and fitted our 182 package in the regulation 3 hour fitting time. This very simple DIY kit consists of a full Exhaust ,4-1 manifold,Sport Cat and K & N Cone filter and the Stratagem Pro tuner. Approx 1350 price as fitted
Tim , the customer only drove the car for 300 miles before arriving at the Magazine shoot out some 4 days later.
On the test day the little ST182 took the honours in all of the tests, performing 0-60 in 6.8 seconds and a top speed run of 136 and climbing with two 15 stone Passengers on board !!!. video link below After a slow start by Tim in the 182 you can see the consistent pull and out drag of both the 192 and the Mountune car, proving the power and torque of the 182. What makes this all the more remarkable is the fact that the 182 had 2 people inside and had to cope with the obvious weight disadvantage.
