The MAXD tuning device allows you total control of the vehicles engine calibration with the use of any Windows based PC.
This Stage 1 version of the MAXD Out device contains the first 2 engine calibrations to choose from, not just one like other tuning boxes.

 These are Stage 1 (225 bhp), STAGE 1r  (240 bhp)

This Pumaspeed MAXD Out Stage 1r Tuning Box has 2 remaps, both are designed to run with the Stock Catalytic Converter. Either will run a totally stock vehicle or run with additional hardware such as the R-sport Intercooler and R-sport Air Filter kit etc to produce up to 240 bhp (YES, thats 240 bhp on a stock catalyst!!). We recommend the use of only 97-99 octane fuel on the R specification maps.

There are very few remaps on the market today that have that sort or performance with the Ford OE built in safety features still included, for instance the stock boost level is 1.45 BAR, the MAXD Out map only lifts that to 1.55 BAR.

Testing has shown the MAXD recalibration to be one of the safest custom tuning solutions available. 
The Staged mapping will suit any European Spec ST180 (Europe ,Australia and Hong Kong markets) and will work to deliver a very safe and reliable increase.

  Stage 4r  -  Up to 390 bhp with the Garrett GTX2867 Turbo plus larger Injectors and all suitable bolt on hardware.

  Valet Mode is available on request to immobilise the vehicle.

  Stock  ST180 - MAXD have a database of stock Original equipment files, these are available on request.

MAXD Custom Options available:

   De- Cat - This option will ensure the dash MIL light does not turn on to indicate the Catalytic Converter is not fitted.
   Cat safe crackle - Enhanced overrun burble safe for stock and sports cats avalible in the options.
   Octane rating - low grade 95 RON and High Grade 102 RON mappings are available at additional cost.

The Mapping Device - FAQ's:

 Can the box be used to turn my vehicle back to the original Stock file at any time?

  Yes, the box allows you to store the original file and then allows you to install your stock mapping any time you need.

What happens to my stock mapping?

 This will be read and will be saved on the laptop for re-use at any time and as many times as you wish.

What if my car is already mapped?

Your ECU will be read by the software and this will be treated as the stock mapping for your car. We do have stock maps available, and these can be included if required.

 Is the Software easy DIY install on and off the car?

Yes the custom software is very simple to use and runs on any Windows Laptop.

 Can I upgrade the maps to a higher level?

Yes the benefit of the system is that MAXD can easily send you upgraded files from the above list as you upgrade the hardware to suit.

Can MAXD write a custom file to suit my list of mods?

Yes the in-house calibration specialists at MAXD can tailor a mapping to suit you and your driving style. Whilst MAXD research and development does run through most case scenarios, there will always be the requirement for that one off special.

Can i use the device on more than one vehicle ?

 No the MAXD device locks itself to your vehicles VIN number and cannot be used on another vehicle.

Can I use different Fuels?

MAXD maps are available for 95 RON 99RON and 102RON high quality fuel. We will make them freely available but warn that running the wrong fuel to mapping combination can be dangerous.

Does the Mapping affect the immobiliser?

 MAXD maps will not affect the vehicle immobiliser in any way.

Can I download a stock map?

If your car has already been mapped elsewhere and you want to return it to standard, we can provide a standard tune.

Do we think its the best?

The answer is YES. Pumaspeed and Internet forum owner testing has shown all the MAXD Out mappings to be higher powered than every other branded mapping, including some very well known names. We hold every record at Santa Pod for Stage 1, 2 and 3 Hybrid Powered Fiesta.

The Stage 1 MAXD box contains the following tuning files:

               Stage 1  - 225 bhp at 1.35 bar boost and 325nm
               Stage 1r  - 240 bhp at 1.55 bar boost  and 390nm

Take a second to read through the graphs provided, there are a few statistics we should draw your attention to.
The 270 bhp Stage 3 Pumaspeed software only uses 1.45 bar of boost (this is no more boost than a std Factory Road car).
This boost is delivered from 2600 revs to 7400 revs with no fluctuation.
The AFR's (all important air fuel ratio mix) hits a perfect balance between power and safety.
The power delivery is linear and drivable with no surprise power or torque spikes to set the wheels spinning out of control.
Software recalibration doesn't come any better than this.
